This week’s IG “Stories to Inspire You” Series is taking us LIVE to Flower Mound, Texas, to visit the amazing @kristensomodywhalen. An artist, writer, mom, horse whisper and so much more… Kristen is a dear friend of mine from New York City who recently moved to Texas during the pandemic to set up home and her art gallery in this little blue cottage and to dance with the horses who make their home here, too. Kristen is a ray of sunshine and light for all of those who come into contact with her. She has inspired me for years in so many ways – from when I struggled with singlehood, to my journey through infertility, and the messy questions of faith and trusting God in the midst of both. I remember asking Kristen the hard questions about life and disappointment, and she always met me with hope and encouragement through her words of wisdom and beautiful spirit. I can’t wait for you to meet her and to see her artistic talent of being able to create beauty all around her wherever she calls home.
We’ll sit on this front porch tonight of the cottage that Kristen has named Little Blue and hear all about her journey here, the art she creates and sanctuary she’s designing for artists, the horses she whispers to both day and night, and her sweet son Stetson who is seriously the cutest boy I have ever seen (other than my own son, of course). 😉
